Connecting with Community at Local Farmer's Market

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, the Rotary Club of Upper St. Clair-Bethel Park hosted its last Farmer's Market of the season and USC Robotics was there to connect with its community.

Students from various USC Robotics FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams were there to share the clubs mission, projects, and outreach events.

Visiting community events like Farmer's Markets gives students the opportunity to showcase their hard work and raise awareness of this new extracurricular opportunity within the district. It also helps the students develop communication skills that are critical in the workplace.

We would like to thank the Rotary Club of Upper St. Clair-Bethel Park for their ongoing support. In the summer, USC Robotics sponsor, Tracy Smith, had an opportunity to attend one of the Rotary Club's Breakfast meetings to start building a relationship between the two entities. At the breakfast, it was clear that the connection between USC Robotics and the Rotary Club would have a chance to develop through various events and opportunities throughout the year.

We look forward to finding more ways for the USC Robotics Club to add value to our community.
