OUR OUTREACH EFFORTS

Engaging you generation into ROBOTICS throught STEM

Botsburgh collaborates with community libraries and organizations to enhance robotics accessibility for local children. Botsburgh members utilize Hummingbird Kits and craft supplies to instruct kids on the fundamentals of designing, building, and programming robots, empowering them to bring any animal they envision to life.

ROBOTICS PETTING ZOOS

INGENUITY CAMP

For the past 3 years, Botsburgh has partnered with the Odyssey of the Mind: Ingenuity Summer Camp to introduce robotics to participating children, whose ages range from 7-12. The students have one week to incorporate a robotic creation of their design into an original short skit.

Our Proudest Moments

WORKING WITH SHIM

Botsburgh partnered with South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM) and held Robotics Petting Zoos for four days. Members of Botsburgh were able to reach over 120+ children from over a dozen different countries during the 2023-2024 FIRST Robotics Season.

MAKING IT TO STATES

During the 2023-2024 FIRST Robotics season, the members of Botsburgh, through tremendous efforts were able to qualify and attend the States competition. Because Botsburgh had not qualified for States since 2018, this was all members' first ever State Competition, and since then, the team has dedicated their focus to reaching an even bigger stage.

TEAM'S HISTORY

Botsburgh has been competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition since 2016. Many students have come and gone, but each former member has a place on Botsbugh.
